1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Quills Apps (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the mobile application AgeWise for iOS and Android (the “App”).

2. Information you enter in the App

You may store information such as:

• Names and birth dates (including year, if provided)
• Relationships, notes, gift ideas, and gift history
• Reminder preferences and related timestamps
• Optional photo references for people you add
• App settings (language, theme, digest, ad preferences)
• Optional app-lock PIN (stored locally on the device)

This information is saved on your device (local app storage). It is not uploaded to Quills Apps servers. We do not have access to your birthday list unless you choose to share or export it yourself.

3. Information we do not collect

AgeWise does not require an account and does not provide:

• AgeWise cloud sync or AgeWise user profiles
• First-party analytics, crash reporters, or marketing trackers operated by Quills Apps
• Sale of your birthday list to third parties

4. Advertising (free version)

The free version may display ads through Google AdMob (Google LLC). AdMob and related Google services may collect or process information such as device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interaction data, and diagnostic information, subject to your device settings and applicable consent choices (including Google’s User Messaging Platform where required).

Where supported, AgeWise requests non-personalized ads. Google’s use of information is governed by Google’s policies, including the Google Privacy Policy and AdMob help.

You can remove ads by purchasing the Premium / Remove Ads product through the App Store or Google Play.

5. Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive your full payment card details. Purchase ownership used to unlock Premium is verified through the store and recorded locally in the App.

6. Notifications

With your permission, AgeWise schedules local reminders on your device. Notification content may include names you entered. Reminder scheduling is performed on-device; Quills Apps does not operate a push server for birthday content.

7. Export, backup, and sharing

Features such as CSV/JSON export, backup/restore, share sheets, WhatsApp or SMS wish messages, and shareable age cards are initiated by you. When you export or share, the destination app or service (and any people you send to) may receive the content you choose to share. Optional encrypted backups are encrypted on your device with a passphrase you provide.

8. Device backups

Your operating system or cloud backup (for example iCloud Backup or Android Auto Backup) may include App data as part of a device backup, according to your system settings. Quills Apps does not control those backup providers.

9. Permissions

Depending on platform and features you use, the App may request access to notifications and, where applicable, other device capabilities described in the App Store or Play Store permission prompts. Some permissions may be declared for planned or optional features; the App only uses data after you grant access and use the related feature.

10. Children

AgeWise is a general-audience utility. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). Do not use the App to submit personal information of children to Quills Apps; we do not seek such submissions. You may store birthdays of family members locally for your own reminder use; that data remains on your device as described above.

11. Data retention and deletion

Because birthday data is stored on your device, you control it. You can delete individual entries in the App or remove all App data by uninstalling AgeWise (and clearing related backups if desired). Ad and purchase related data retained by Google or Apple follows their retention practices.

12. International users

Advertising and store services may process data in the United States or other countries. If you are in the EEA, UK, or similar regions, you may have rights under local law regarding advertising consent and access requests directed to those providers. For AgeWise on-device data, manage or delete it in the App or by uninstalling.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
